Chickens

We raise Cornish Cross broiler chickens for our customers. These chickens are very fast growers. In just 7 weeks they weigh between 41/2 and 5 1/2 pounds each. They are raised on pasture in hoop houses. We have a large population of fox in the area and these hoop houses keep our chickens safe. Each day, the hoop houses are moved to new grass. The chickens love to eat the grass! As the chickens get bigger, the hoop houses are moved 2 times a day.

We offer either whole or cut up chickens

We can also grow specialty chickens for you too. Heritage chickens that take longer to grow or chickens fed a non-soy diet are just 2 of the possibilites. Call us and let us know what you might need.

We also have laying hens for eggs. We have an assortment of

breeds laying for us now. I personally love the Aracona chickens with their blue and green eggs. I try to put one colored egg in each dozen just for fun

At our On Farm Store only: dozen eggs (assorted sizes) $3.00

Occasionally we have Stewing Hens, laying hens, and live roosters available for sale. These can only be picked at our farm.
