Turkeys- Pre Order your Heritage Turkey for 2010

2010 Turkeys for 4-H will come in March and Bourbons will come in April and Broad Breasted Whites come in June.

Bourbon Red Turkeys are a heritage breed.  They are a beautiful bird and their taste is truly wonderful.  They are rated #1 in taste on several different websites.  Because they are a heritage breed and slow growing it takes 26-28 weeks to raise them.  They are great foragers and love to eat grass! Our Bourbons will be between 7 and 14 lbs for Thanksgiving.

Broad Breasted White Turkeys are the more common Thanksgiving Turkey.  They are a very fast growing bird.  They only take 16 to 18 weeks to reach their full growth.

All our our Turkeys are taken to a Federally inspected plant in Amish country to be butchered.  The Amish do things right!
