Where did the  Month of January go? 

 I'm not sure who said that Farmer's have the winter off..but we sure haven't had any time off in January!

Mike has been working on the 2 new pig boxes for our 2 gilts that will deliver around Feb 5th. These "boxes" are approx 8 ft by 5'4".  They have 2 heat lights in the back that mama can't get to.  We put styrofoam on top to help hold the heat in.  Our litter that was born Christmas night (it was sooo cold!) all survived but several had thier tails frost bit.  All 11  pigs and mama have been moved outside and are doing great!  They love to burrow in the straw. 

 

We have also moved baby goats around and are now ready for more in the barn.
