December 09
Dec 2: The elevator got fixed and we finished picking the ear corn. It is wonderful that it is done! We are gearing up for selling more Turkeys and our Meat Boxes for Christmas.
Dec 8th Winter is now upon us. I think we had between 12-13 inches here on our Farm. It takes us 4 hours non-stop to plow out all of the snow so the farm can function. The kids have a snow day, so that will help. I bought groceries so we have things we can start to bake, too. I really enjoy having our boys home!
Now we have the bitter cold. Animal waterers are frozen but we got them working again! All of the animals seem to be doing ok in the cold.
Baby Berkshire pigs were born Christmas night. See New Arrivals
Snow, Snow, Snow, and more snow! It seems to just keep coming. Cold and Snow make doing chores a long and cold job. Thank goodness we have gotten past the longest day of the year.
