What is a CSA

Here are the basics of our CSA:

(Community Supported Agriculture)

We (at R Family Farm) will offer a certain number of "shares" to the public. In our case, the share consists of a box of meat, but other of our farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a "membership" or a "subscription") and in return receive a box (bag, basket) of meat each week throughout the season.

This arrangement creates several rewards for both the us

(at R Family Farm) and the you (the consumer).

In brief...Advantages for us:
    * Get to spend time marketing the meat early in the year,

before our busy time in the summer begin.
    * Receive payment early in the season, which helps with

       the our farm's cash flow
    * Have an opportunity to get to know the people who eat

       the meat we provide

Advantages for you:
    * Eat farm raised meat, with all the flavor and vitamin benefits
    * Get exposed to new cuts of meat and new ways of cooking
    * Get to visit our farm, store, and see our animals

    * See the feed we mix ourselves here at our farm
    * Develop a relationship with us and our farm
